Wireless distributed QuickSilver® AV++® infrastructure for a Georgia coastal island heritage museum. What began as a traditional AV specification became a wireless-first deployment that eliminated the need for a dedicated equipment room - saving the client budget and returning valuable floor space to retail.
Mad Systems was originally engaged to deliver a traditional AV system. When the client returned with a budget challenge and asked whether costs could be reduced, Mad Systems proposed converting the installation to a wireless distributed QuickSilver® configuration. The wireless approach eliminated the need for a dedicated equipment room the client had been preparing. Since the museum was short on retail storage space, the result was a system that met the revised budget, matched all functional requirements, and delivered an unexpected bonus: a usable room returned to the client for retail storage. The project demonstrates what architecture-first thinking delivers in practice.
This project represents the architectural approach Mad Systems brings to every engagement: infrastructure defined before construction documents, technology specified for 15–20+ year lifecycle, and accessibility and multilingual delivery built in from the start.
