Early learning, on the road
Mad worked with the Museum of Teaching and Learning (MOTAL) to turn a 48-foot road trailer into Your Baby’s Amazing Brain, a mobile exhibition about early childhood development. Its 15 electronic activities invite adults, including parents and future parents, to explore familiar situations and everyday parenting choices.
Most activities offer authored material in English, Spanish, Vietnamese and Korean. A large brain sculpture receives projected imagery, while visitors use a touchscreen to illuminate and identify regions of the brain. The exhibition’s 2024 trial opening at Santiago Canyon College gave the team an opportunity to observe visitors and refine the experience with MOTAL.
