Designing Adaptable Training Environments with AV++®

Designing Adaptable Training Environments with AV++®

This April 2025 perspective considers whether a media and interaction platform could support a more adaptable training environment. It is an application concept, with the training provider responsible for the instructional design, authorized exercises and evaluation.

A defined training brief comes first

A proposed installation might need different language tracks, coordinated group media, repeatable event sequences and an instructor interface. Those needs can be specified without assuming that AI should control the exercise or decide whether a participant has learned the required skill.

Mad’s established work in visitor environments supplies experience in playback, interaction and show control. This article does not identify a deployed tactical-training system, a validated training method or measured training outcomes.

Platform functions to evaluate

  • Media and event control: QuickSilver® and TeaParty® can form a configured foundation for playback, cues and operator control.
  • Content choices: authored language, role or information-depth options can be prepared for the intended participants.
  • Identity and continuity: any connection to participant records needs defined permissions, retention and access controls. Facial recognition is an optional method, rather than a necessary starting point.
  • Approved information: an Alice® workflow would need an appropriate Body of Knowledge, editorial boundaries and a clearly limited role.
  • Operator authority: the instructor must understand which functions are scripted, which are adaptive, which require approval and how the exercise is stopped or reset.

From concept to evidence

A demonstration should establish only the functions it actually implements. A proposed domain-specific use needs separate integration work, participant-data arrangements, safety review and validation by the responsible training organization. Training effectiveness should be evaluated with an agreed method, rather than inferred from personalization or patent status.
