Technology for the Truman story
Mad provided consultancy, design and implementation of audiovisual and interactive equipment for the complete redevelopment of the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library and Museum in Independence, Missouri. The work extended from 2018 to 2021, bringing technology into the development of new galleries telling Truman’s story.
Interactive stations, media displays and audio form a sequence of exhibition settings. Mad worked with the museum’s architectural, exhibition, media, fabrication and lighting teams to bring those elements together around the different stories visitors encounter.
QuickSilver® computing is distributed through the exhibition, with audio returned to a central system. This reverse-hybrid arrangement combines local processing with centralized audio, following the requirements of the museum’s displays and interactive presentations.
